Private training optionsDon't miss out just because classes are not for you!
Some dogs also do better with private training. They may be anxious and fearful around new dogs or people, stressed in new places or have health problems that make training in group classes a poor choice.
Private training ensures that both you and your dog are relaxed, comfortable and in a great situation in which to learn.
One of the first things I need to do is gather some information about you and your dog. If your dog has an emotional problem (fear, anxiety etc.) an initial consult will be required so I can delve deep and get a clear picture of what is happening. These last approximately 90 minutes.
Define Your Goals
Whether you need an initial consult or not, we will need to define your goals and work out the best way for you to reach them. This may be a specific, personalised plan or it may be one of my ‘pre-made’ plans for common issues such as recalls or pulling on lead.
Choose Where You Want to Train
You can train at my premises or you can choose to train at your home, or in a real life setting such as a park. Or we can do both – start at my premises and then take it on the road to make sure both you and your dog are confident to apply what you have learnt.
Private Training is the flexible solution to common issues such as:
- Barking and lunging on lead
- Counter surfing/stealing
Puppy Training topics:
- Toilet training
- Crate training
- Life skills
Life Skills and day to day basics:
- Walk nicely on a lead
- Come when called
- Happy handling for vet or groomer
- Polite greetings
“You have a wonderful box full of positive training skills and are happy to try other options if the first doesn’t work until you get to something that suits us both… I like the way that you don’t have just one box that everyone has to fit into and how well you work each partnership on its own merits.”— Anne
